Hello again! This is my first ever comic artwork. It’s a style I’ve wanted to try for a while because I have so many ideas that are a little bit more complex than can be expressed in a single, detailed artwork.What held me back was actually trepidation. I knew that a comic with text or dialogue would require a ton more digital work than I usually invest in a piece (the only place I usually use digital in my art is to clean it up for my online products) so I was hesitant due to the learning curve.

My choice for the first comic was a fun tribute to the sport of Eventing. Eventing, the equestrian triathlon, has always been a source if mixed feelings for me. On one hand, I greatly admire the skill and horsemanship of Event riders, while on the other, I can’t help but think that anyone who willingly participates in this sport is bat-crap crazy! And of course, this mixed appreciation/bafflement only grew during my almost 4 years working at an Eventing barn!

So if you are an Event rider, I hope you appreciate my attempt to capture the humor in your sport. Good luck, and may the horse be with you!
